IR Objectives

1. Introduction

HRG recognises the value in transparent and open communications with its stakeholders consistent with commercial confidentiality and regulatory considerations.  Stakeholders include investors, employees, customers, suppliers, local, national and international media and local communities.

Alongside the performance of its people and businesses, HRG recognises that consistent, coherent and clear communications help to establish the reputation of the Group and its management.

This policy outlines the objectives and processes for effective communications between the Group and its various audiences.

2. Objectives of the policy

  • Create a climate of clear and open communication with all stakeholders 
  • Provide a disciplined, professional approach to the flow of information from the Group at all times 
  • Provide appropriate channels for effective two-way communication at all levels and to assess their effectiveness on a regular basis 
  • Place the reputation of HRG and its constituent businesses at the forefront of business management and decision-making

3. Communications and Investor Relations Policy

It is HRG policy to create and encourage the use of appropriate channels for the management of information.  These include the designation of nominated individuals authorised to speak on behalf of the HRG and its subsidiaries, and processes to ensure that information released by the Group is timely, clear and relevant in reaching its intended recipient(s).

This policy is supported by appropriate internal guidelines with regard to price sensitive information which are also promulgated throughout the Group.

The Group encourages feedback on its activities through face-to-face meetings with key stakeholders and stakeholder groups, and provides feedback mechanisms on its website, as well as contact details in its press releases, annual and interim reports, and third party directories.

It is HRG policy to review the effectiveness of its tactical and strategic communications activities on a regular basis.
